GooyLCD IDE V1.00

Integrated Development Environment for monochrome graphic displays

GooyLCD IDE User Manual

GooyLCD is an easy to learn, fun to use software. No programming required for the design and prototyping stages. Screens ( Up to 24 ) are built using simple drag and drop object menu with full customization using object property window.
Each screen is compiled by the IDE into a binary file which will be saved in the module EEPROM. By using the Object Run Time Simulation utility, you will be able to simulate and test the objects run time properties before even your hardware and code are ready. For example, you can run an animation on the target display before your host controller code is ready.

There are two groups of commands: Terminal and Object commands. The terminal commands can be used at any time to control the module/LCD, draw graphics ( line, circle, pixel ...) or to place a text.
The object commands only can be used in the object mode to control the objects on the screen. The control is done through the object Run Time properties. For example: you can change the caption of a label, highlight/unhighlight text of bitmap, click, check, change value, hide/show or update a chart. Your host controller is responsible for controlling the objects, load/unload screens and check for user screen touch. All of that is accomplished using only 18 high level object commands which, highly reduces the processing burden ( memory and bandwidth ) on the host controller.

You can convert system fonts or simply create your own fonts using the included Font Editor. With one click you can download the font you just created to the module.

The image loader utility is used to download an image ( full screen picture ) to the module. Simply, load your bitamp image ( *.bmp ) and then click on " Convert ". The image will appear on the preview screen which has the same size and resolution as the target display. Give the image an ID number and then click on " Send To module " icon. To save the image to the module EEPROM, click on " Save To Module " icon.

To create a graphic-rich screens, a Bitmap editor is included. Design your bitmap and send it to the module (LCD), if you are satisfied, give it an ID number and click on the icon " Save to EEPROM"

A touch screen utility is also included to examine the different modes of operation and to calibrate the touch screen.
