Serial LCD Controller for Monochrome Graphic Displays:
Haidar Technology Serial LCD Controllers (GLC-Mxx) are the fastest and easiest way to add a monochrome graphic display of your choice to your product. The small footprint (smaller than standard credit card) and the 64-pin DIP package allows the user to add the module as piggy-back board to the host controller or to a board mounted on the back of the display.
A simple serial ( RS232 or RS422/485 ) port is all you need to interface the module to your host controller which allows you to access the graphic display as an Intelligent Serial Device.
The module board contains all the necessary hardware to drive and control the display. The on-board microcontroller code includes a GUI library, command interpreter and touch screen calibration/control algorithms. The module board also contains a large flash memory (512Kbyte) for storing bitmaps, images, fonts and GUI objects and a 4-wire touch screen controller.
GooyLCD IDE software allows the user to edit bitmaps, images, fonts and design a graphics-rich GUI application from a desktop computer without writing a single line of code! With GooyLCD IDE you will be able to visually design your GUI program screens (up to 24 screens) using a rich selection of GUI objects. Each screen is compiled by the IDE into a binary file which will be saved in the module EEPROM. By using the Object Run Time Simulation utility, you will be able to simulate and test the objects run time properties before even your hardware and code are ready. For example, you can run an animation on the target display before your host controller code is ready. 
Most off-the-shelf monochrome graphic displays on the market now have a built-in graphic controller and most QVGA displays have no graphic controller on board. We take this fact in our consideration during the design phase and we make our modules (firmware and hardware) to be flexible enough to add a new graphic driver as they come to the market with almost no change to the module performance or interface. Our Serial LCD Controllers are built to last.


Step 1: Create your GUI (up to 24 screens) using Haidar Technology GooyLCD IDE software. Edit your own bitmaps and fonts, load images and simulate your GUI from your PC screen. The IDE compiles the GUI into a binary file and saves it into the LCD controller EEPROM. It is simple, fun and fast!
Step 2: Your controller sends high level serial (RS232) commands to control the GUI you just created in step 1. The rich set of powerful object and terminal commands makes controlling the objects easy and simple. No need for RTOS or special library!


Serial LCD Controllers for TFT Color Displays:
GLC-C100 is an advanced serial LCD controller for TFT color displays. It is capable of driving any TFT LCD up to 320X240 (QVGA) resolution with 18-bit or 24-bit digital RGB interface at 16 bpp color depth. It is based on a powerful 16-bit microcontroller running at 40MIPS and LCD graphic controller with 256KB embedded RAM.The small size of GLC-C100 and the rich selection of hardware and firmware making it an ideal solution for embedded engineers who must add a color touch surface to their products.The GLC-C100 is driven by a set of serial commands, which can be fed through any of the implemented interfaces. The device can be used as an "intelligent" LCD controller or as stand-alone controller. There is enough of flash and RAM memory in the controller on board (PIC24H) to incorporate additional graphical commands or to customize the firmware for particular tasks.
